RedClear Enameled Copper
An enameled copper cigarette box designed for the aperitivo table, where it functions as both object and social instrument. The cylindrical body holds cigarettes upright, while a fitted lid—topped with a crescent form—lifts cleanly to open and close the container. The use of enameled copper recalls a material language once prevalent in Italian decorative arts of the late 20th century, now less commonly seen. Its form draws from terrace culture in late-1970s and 1980s Italy, where cigarette boxes were standard fixtures, and from female figures in Italian media and music, where smoking operated as gesture, timing, and display. Intended to be opened, passed, and returned, it sits within the choreography of the table.
These are made to order in Venice, Italy. Processing time is 14-21 days. Duties not included.
